With some of our closest friends and family (and yes, even you, our fabulous readers) taking the plunge into parenthood through the amazing gift of adoption, we're always on the lookout for amazing finds as a way to celebrate their journey. Every year, the BBC airs a Children In Need charity fundraiser. This year they produced a stop motion music video which, for cartoon buffs in the UK, is a pretty big deal. It collects around 120 characters (approximately) from children's shows from the last 30 (or more) years.  

On Friday, Queen Anne's County High School will play Kent Island for a chance to go to the state championship. This year, the Queen Anne's County Lions have a secret weapon. It's a 15-year-old with a power you won't soon forget.  

A stray cat which won the hearts of staff at the Shropshire Star's head office has finally been reunited with his owner following an appeal in the paper. The black kitten, named Star by employees at the paper's Ketley office, was taken in and given a temporary home by telesales worker Mandy Batchelor on November 11 after the animal kept wandering into the main entrance. An appeal was subsequently made in the Shropshire Star to trace the 18-week-old cat's owner and he has now come forward to claim his  

I said this since forever now. The trust fund crowd showed up, with the mid western, who had money and just killed the city. They want to look street savvy and cool so they buy the look, but really they are just rich kids trying to be the rat pack of past years.  

I am slowly, yet surely, turning into my mother, and eventually down the road, my granny also. I am beginning to accept that fact more and more. Each day becomes a clearer image into my days of my childhood.  

School District Two trustees will meet with members of the Montana School Board Association next week to talk about a new superintendent and they expect the search could go national. On Monday, Jack Copps announced he will step down at the end of the school year, his last day will be June 30. He has overseen the 15,000 students and 25,000 parents in School District Two since March of 2006.

Well, its been a while! I figured we could all use another article about the girl everyone seems to love to hate..and some just outright hate. After Fox's horrendous comments about Bay making movies for kids and not needing a brain to enjoy them(I mean, the nerve!) and likening him to Hitler!  

No kiddin'. About 10 years ago, I met a girl via IRC (of all places..) and arranged to have coffee with her one night. Seemed fairly cute from the photo she tossed me, which, of course, was just of her face.  

As I was traveling through the subway in Taiwan (which is fantastic by the way, it's clean, effecient and goes everywhere), I walked past this subway billboard for James Cameron's Avatar and decided to take a pic of it to show you guys. It's actually a pretty plain look ad, and wondered if they could have shown some more of the action/adventure/fantasy aspect of the movie.
